I travelled a little during in my time in the forces, unfortunately the reason for travelling wasn't always the most appropriate.. well, nature of the beast...
Occasionally it was for better reasons such as helping build infrastructure in developing places which I loved.
It opened my eyes to people and cultures and a desire to visit more of the world.
It also goes hand in hand with my other two passions of photography and scuba... this has taken me to many a beautiful place in search of ideal photo locations and in search of fish, reefs and wrecks.. |

I love to travel, but with a family its too expensive to travel as extensively as I'd like. But we have a trip to Malta planned and a little further ahead a trip to Thailand.

Have passport and love travelling, off to Egypt on boxing day, but have been lucky to have had the opportunity to see quite a few other places. The far east is on my list as well as Bhutan and a long list of other places |

Done a lot of Australasia, southern & SE Asia but Myanmar is all that's missing from the latter list, mainly because previously it's been too difficult.
Bring it on!

"It’s in my blood..
Train, plane, Concorde or bus.
6star, B&B, camping or hostels.
Variety is the spice
Ooh Concorde!! I’ve been on two of them! "
me too ... it's like flying inside a hosepipe ... kinda claustrophobia inducing |

By train is the way to go! " as long as it's a continental train....recently travelled from Scotland to London.. .London to nimes...nimes to Cordoba.. .Cordoba to granada...granada to ronda...ronda to Seville.. .Seville to Barcelona.. .Barcelona to Paris.. .Paris to London.. London to Scotland.. ..the British part of my train marathon was dire-crowded slow dirty compared with comfortable ultra fast clean trains in Europe. |

SSS certainly does, one of his main reasons for working and earning a wage!
I haven’t in the past but am now learning! We’ve got trips to Berlin, Gran Canaria and Italy coming up over the next year, with no doubt a few more smaller ones thrown in too

We love travelling. Booked to go next May to the Amalfi Coast, will be first time there and it looks stunning.
Then returning to Sri Lanka in July for two weeks.
I like to get some last sun early September too, so possibly Nice for a long weekend, although that would also be a return visit instead of finding new places to explore. |
