I tend to either report, block and move on. Or, if they hit a nerve, retaliate and block before they can answer back

I have found that many on here can be sickly sweet and such on the forums yet when conversing via pm are evil nasty pieces of work

I just ignore them. I've never blocked but then I've never received a message that's made me think I need to block this twat in the four or five years I've been here.

I don't know the majority of people who message me so why would their words make a difference?

Depends on how nasty I’ll block mainly not worth effort in even reacting most of the time

If it's just childish nasty stuff... ignore, block and spend perhaps a fraction of a second pitying them for not having something more positive in their lives to amuse themselves with.

If it's properly nasty...try and protect other fabbers from having to put up with it in the future by reporting them.

Had some real horrid stuff said when I was a Mod one guy even threatened me physically I reported and moved on he then went on to set up multiple accounts which got reported in turn.

Nothing done even though was reported multiple times by numerous people.
