We are in the situation where we have children at home and one who has moved in with bf.
What have other people done wrt Xmas presents? We used to spend the same on all of them, should that be any different now?
Opinions and help please. |

The only Christmas present I buy is secret Santa at work, I have far to much family and I’m so close to all of them that I just can’t afford to buy everyone at crimbo, I spend a little extra on their birthdays instead to make up for it |

Both our kids earn way more than us now we're semi retired. We buy a gift for one and send money to the other roughly equivalent to the cost of the gift.
Whether you should give gifts of equal value to your kids is for you to decide based on if you can afford it, if it will cause trouble if you don't and whether you want to. |

Some good ideas here, thanks.
I know what they all want, I've had their lists for a while but only just spurred myself into action.
It's difficult to judge, the littlest is still quite young (11), the oldest is at uni, one of the ones still at home is working. Argh, who put me in charge? |

It can cause stress can't it.
When it comes down to it nobody keeps score or if they do they jolly well shouldn't. |

A few years ago, my two boy's who are completely different got what they asked for. 1 got a marvel comics duvet set and memorabilia, the other 2 Xbox games...price difference on the spend was nearly 60 but neither cared as they were delighted with what they got. Stick to the list if you can and ignore whether it equals up per child. That's how Christmas can break you. Have a lovely Christmas
