is it worth trying to set up a social at ours for a few couple and a few singles, or is it just a waste of our time looking.

Loads of people arrange quite successful socials, so why would you be wasting your time if you did it? Only you know how popular you are

Go for it.

At best, you have a great time and make new friends.

At worst, it doesn't come off.

At very worst, you get 373 messages from various forms of men.

South Suffolk Area

We set up a social/party, but more a social front with areas for people to go off and play if they wanted to.

We did this with about 8 days notice and although we have to admit, a lot of work went into it we are so glad we did, we had 20 people turn up and only 3 couples pulled out at the last minute :}. Had great fun doing it and really looking forward to organising the next one.

So go fo it :}

Start small with a few couples and see hot it goes. If it's successful, expand it and I'd bet the couples who came to your first social would spread the word for you anyway.

I did not expect this thread to be soo food centric. Sounds a bit "Come and Dine with me?" (;-)

What kind of a social is it exactly? (;-)
