On Fab? I reckon many women open a profile, get inundated with mad mails from desperate men before they've even managed to complete their profile, feel nauseous and leave the site. |

In seriousness (though I think you may be being ironic) because seeking nsa sex is seen as socially acceptable for men to do, but women doing it are stigmatised and so less likely to risk the likelihood of criticism/nasty comments.

This happened first time I joined not even learnt how to put a pic up and I’d got loads of messages within mere minutes of joining I spent about an hour on the site and deleted my account took me 6months after that before I rejoined |

Yes and its very evident on fab after a women has so many veris she’s “shagged the whole site” and therefore a “whore”
Seen That attitude displayed in profile write ups and forums posted too many times to count, mostly from men and then they wonder why more women are here or they have no luck |

This definitely does contribute to the gender imbalance. When I first joined I received hundreds of messages in the first hour despite having a totally blank profile and no pictures. I navigated away from the site and didn't come back for over a week. When I came back I didn't show up as a newbie so things calmed down somewhat. I deleted everything and started again.
Every time I do a status update or add a new photo I am once again inundated with messages so I rarely do it.
Another big factor is that it is still more socially acceptable for men to be looking for nsa casual sex than it is for women. A man is seen as a stud whereas a woman is seen as a slut! For generations women have been told nice girls don't sleep around and sex is something that should happen only in a relationship.
It is also often the case that far more men are looking for extra marital sex than women do. Women are often more inclined to try and work things out with a partner and men will go looking elsewhere for what is lacking in their relationship.
Obviously these are generalisations and there are always exceptions to this. |

Some very good concerns for single male students on here and for Fab owners in order to create gender balance.
Females shouldn’t be bombarded with messages and fab should create a guide so they feel in control on the site when new.

Nope! Far more likely to be men, see upthread - many male profiles state they won't meet women with "X amount of veris" even if they have more than that number veris themselves!
Even more the case in the vanilla world! Hell I had guys who thought my number was too high when it was 6!! |

Only a guess but I think it may be due to men generally have a basic instinct to spread there seed as far and wide as possible, women are programmed to care and spend a long time with there offspring therefore have a lot more investment in the act of sex so even if society has moved on genetically humans have not! Like I said only a guess so don't shoot me lol |

And I think a lot of women want a few "strings".
The appeal of NSA wears thin after a while.
Where as a lot of men I've spoken to already have "strings" in the vanilla world and come on here for an emotionless fuck.
