"About 7 hrs. I would like at least 10
Believe me it’s a pain! Sometimes I work a morning then go to bed for lunch "
It must be a nuisance to be that tired . Xx |

"I usually get between 4 to 6 hours.
That's someone getting you ready for their arrival. You'll be used to sleeping that little already!!"
That's the silver lining. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I was concerned about my sleeping cause I only sleep 4 to 5 hours a night, then some nights 6 hours.
A really really good night for me is 7 hours.
But thankfully most of it is deep sleep. If I do 6 hours sleep, 5 and half is deep. |

On average 6 hours some times I get lucky and get 7 other times unlucky and 5.
All depends where my work is the next day.
Ideally I need 8 on the weekends to help me recharge and not end up a grumpy sod! |

Mine varies from week to week. It really depends on what my hours are. Im a bit of a night owl so getting to sleep early rarely happens. If i hsve a week of starting early it can be 4-5 hours a night, whereas if i get alot of late starts (after 11) it can be 8-9 hours.
But it never seens enough whatever i sleep |

5 - 6 hours a night, nowhere near enough considering how much training I do when sleep is vital for recovery! I don't have any trouble staying awake through the day but start feeling run down after a while. Every now and again I'll get some Zopiclone from my mum and knock myself out for the night. |

Taking Zoliclone really doesn't sound like a sensible thing to do. What i missed from my previous post was that my doctor told me about the amount is sleep required. Many people survive and function perfectly well with only a few hours sleep, some even only have power naps, there's no definitive length. |

About an hour a night but that’s a few 10 min naps and the rest of the night I’m wide awake just waiting for the day to begin. Been the same for best part of 30 years. I don’t remember what a proper nights sleep is. |

Due to the nature of my second job I'm sometimes expected to go without sleep for days on end and still function mentally and physically, when I get home from that I can tell you I have no problem sleeping 12 hours then!! I don't take zopiclone often but if you've been going through a few weeks of insomnia and you're really starting to feel ill from it then it's a godsend to recharge the batteries ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

I function best on 7-9 hours sleep a night.
At the moment I'm in the middle of a huge flare up of an illness and have had very disturbed sleep for a couple of weeks and am only getting about 4 hours in total.
I'm exhausted ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

I wasn't being critical but days on end without sleep, you choice, but is it really worth it? I stopped working shifts to go on days, huge loss of pay but feel so much better for it. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |
