So there's a very stirring video that you have to be a stone not to be moved by. Frank Stephens has down syndrome but managed to deliver an incredibly good speech asking for more medical research funding. As a result of this video I've learnt that there's a huge link between down syndrome, which is caused by an extra copy of chromosome 21 and alzheimers / dementia (i.e. more than half of them get it). The benefits of this research are obviously applicable to everyone which is great. Here's the link for those who are interested:
