When I get a message from a man that is tall, good-looking, (of course that’s subjective), great body... and he’s been on Fab over a year.. no verification tick?
I just say no automatically. To me.. it says.. fake profile, time-waster/fantasist, or someone who no-one has anything good to say about...
What are your thoughts?  |

I’m the same, I know guys find it hard to get a meet but there’s lots of ways to get that first meet. I don’t meet anyone that hasn’t been verified by a meet in the last year |

I'm automatically suspicious, and I have asked them why.
The most common answer has been they've had a regular FB, and not bothered meeting since.
2nd most common, created profile, but then got in a steady elationship never bothered using it.. But they're now single again.
Why not just create a new profile, if that's actually the case

I think labeling as fake as no meet in a year is wrong to discount, there are a few forum posters in this category, not forgetting the obvious ratio between the sexes. So don't go out of your way for a social you may be pleasantly surprised. |

I beg to differ .Sometimes people who have verified you may no longer be members or perhaps only prefer quality meets or could be using other sites.
Always best to meet for a social and see if there’s any proof in the pudding! |

I'd be slightly suspicious but if he ticked my boxes I'd be happy to give him the benefit of the doubt. I'd still think if we arranged something that he wouldn't show up but that's the chance you take with anyone on here!!! |

Take every profile on their own merit. We've been on a year with no veri's but we are quite particular about what we're looking for and 'The boss' isn't quite over her meeting up nerves yet |

I think regardless of whether you display the verifications themselves or the summary, the green tick to indicate verified still remains visible 
I think I'd be inclined to ask anyone why they're not verified where that is the case - could be a valid reason as suggested above. |

Newbies... I don’t expect to be verified right away..
What would you say is a reasonable time frame?"
Well, in my case I've sent mumerous polite and well written mesaages to many ladies and have been active (although largely ignored) on the forum, witj no real results, so it can be a real challenge despite the effort, and I most certainly am not fake.
I am, however married, so no doubt that counts against me big time. I'm open about this on my profile though. |

I understand why you say that. But just until a few wks ago I was exactly who just described lol I opened an account but almost 5-8 months after was when I decided to get active and it was hard to get meets, privately. No one didn't trust me cause I had no veri's so I decided to go to a club. After that, it's safe to say life has changed lol |

You've got it in one. That pout has ruined any chance of a meet . Honestly though I've had meets arranged with singles and couples and they've cancelled at the last minute and I'll admit that I cancelled one meet. Never had the bottle to go to a club alone and it's just sort of gone on for ages and snowballed to the point where it's a big black mark against me. I enjoy the forums and chatting and I'll persevere so it's all good. |

When I joined a guy message me hes been on here 7 months by then gave him the benefit of the doubt plus i was new so didn’t know all the tips and hints. We eventually swapped numbers 4months later as he was so insistent we’ve been chatting since most days my text or phone calls. He won’t meet me. So I’ve given up and cut all contact |

Get yourself to a social mate. Sure there will be one in your area at some point. They're good fun! Nerves will be gone once your inside.

I think it depends really, I've been on and off here for about 2 years now and this profile is about 3months without that lil tick.
Yes people I'm on of them  , but I'm not! Ive met with people on older profile and after we met the thought of that lil tick hadn't crossed my mind lol. Im not part of the swinging club world 'Yet' so no chance of veris there. However as we all know a lil too well about those fake profiles I too am bias to profiles without the tick so its a catch 22.

Why don’t you keep your eye on the Forums for a local Social hunkimunki?
It’s not a nerve wracking as attending a Club on your own, it’s just a bunch of local Forumites having a get together usually in a pub or community club, & you get to put names to faces of folk you chat with.
I don’t know about your area but we have loads in Glasgow & it’s a good way to increase your Veri’s.
Just a suggestion.
On the original post of the thread though I’d tend to be cautious of a profile that’s a year old, moreso if there’s no pics or little info on the profile.
It could be they just want to view cams, collect pics, or as others say, a fake profile with no intention of ever meeting. |

He got defensive, and said he doesn’t have to explain to me..?! and ended with ‘Take care’
So.... I’ve blocked him, so he can’t message again in a couple of months. Thought he was probably a tool..

I chose not to meet for a year. But spent copious amounts of time on the forums and chat.
I didn't want to meet for that time because I wasn't ready. But got to know lots of people on here anyway.
I understand your misgivings though.

I think.. it’s possible to look at pics, live cams.. and if you can interact with the lady you’re looking at pics of.. getting attention in return, it’s brilliant wank fodder!
And if the man is nothing like he claims to be (catfish), your interest, compliments etc may make him feel good?!

I think.. it’s possible to look at pics, live cams.. and if you can interact with the lady you’re looking at pics of.. getting attention in return, it’s brilliant wank fodder!

Maybe everyone else has decided to do the same to him that's why he's not got any verification's. Its not always obvious as to all people on how to go about getting meet verification's especially when they are new. He could be a fake or a very nice bloke but you'd never know if you don't give him that chance. |

We have been picture varified but wont be varified by meet till we are ready to meet, due to being new to this.
We have been on a cam for hours over a few sessions but still havent been cam varified by anyone.
If this hinders our experience on here then so be it. We are happy to do whatever we are asked to prove we are genuine. |

I’d question whether the pics where actually of him but otherwise I’d agree with you, over a year an no veri? Fake or fantasist. Regardless of the excuse for no verification (been away, took a break etc) |

Who me? Well it’s a bit late now I’ve been in his home’ town 5 times this year and he hasn’t even wanted to meet for coffee/drink (I don’t do sex on a first meet)

When I challenged him about it, and explained how it might be perceived (also explaining that ‘I don’t know you..’)
He got defensive, and said he doesn’t have to explain to me..?! and ended with ‘Take care’
So.... I’ve blocked him, so he can’t message again in a couple of months. Thought he was probably a tool..

Could it be possible he created his account then remained inactive for a long period of time?
This was my case. I opened it early last year but left it dormant for a long period of time and only really came back 3 months ago. |
