Well I've got my medical booked in for next Thursday, just after turning 45 i now have to have one done for work.

Not looking forward to it one bit!

Anyone else had to do this for their job?

Why are you not looking forward to it?

Sure they're not gonna kill you?

"Why are you not looking forward to it?

Because IF I fail the medical then I will have my vocational licence revoked, thus meaning no work.

When was the last time you had to go for a medical? If it is anything like the medical you have while applying for your licence it shouldn’t be too bad. All I got were a bunch of questions, height and weight taken followed by an eye test. If you’ve been eye tested recently and don’t drink an absurd amount I think you should be fine.

In the middle

I have one ever 2 years, height, weight, blood pressure, urine sample, eyes tested for peripheral vision and hearing tested, I never worry about it tbh.

Wellingborough

You've obviously not had a Dr Nasty medical.

In addition to all things mentioned above, I'm also going to check your pulse for rate, rhythm, force & character, have a very good listen to your heart sounds (that's a good two minutes of examination) and root through your entire medical record for anything that you haven't declared or 'accidentally' omitted.

It's my signature on the form that confirms that you are fit to drive; I prefer not to find myself in a Coroner's Court or the Circuit Courts.
