SAD lamps are excellent. Hope that makes a difference for you.
Do make sure you reach out and tell people if you’re feeling low. It’s a real leveller to share with people and you’d be surprised how many people feel a struggle, and how useful it is to realise you’re not on your own.
Wishing you well. |

I go to work in the dark, and i get home in the dark. Some days I dont even see the daylight some days. Generally I don't feel any different. This week I have felt quite low, probably not helped by the fact some one broke into my house and tried to steal the car whilst I was busy working on Monday. Luckily the got nothing and didn't harm the dog. A stiff drink and a early night sorted me out. After I had blades the back of my house up of course.. |

I've been getting like this each year and only came to the realisation that it could be SAD. My partner sees it in me too. Currently going to "Wellbeing" meetings at the moment but find them patronising.
No drugs this time. Don't want them. |

I’ve just been diagnosed with a calcium and Vitamin D deficiency, one of the main symptoms can be feeling particularly low and tired.
I now have to take prescribed supplements as the over the counter ones aren’t enough to top it up
Always worth getting your levels checked out |

"What fixes this? I keep seeing people talking of lamps. Plus I may have a Vit D difficiancy due to a condition I have. "
SAD is a form of depression essentialy caused by a lack of sunlight, melatonin... The lamps recreate the sunlight. |

SAD lamps help. Also getting out in the fresh air helps. There is no such thing as bad weather just the wrong cloths. Also regular exercise and a balanced diet will help. |

I'll research the lamps. I get enough exercise. |

I've always found this an odd bit of positive advice to give someone suffering from any sort of depression. As it either makes you appear as a mood hoovering sad sack, bringing down the vibe or you realise you're living in a world full of sad depressed people.
