Now I like the odd curry now and again. Well at the beginning of the year I had a medium curry in stoke that was very very hot for a medium

Then just had a medium this evening in London and I wouldn’t even call it a mild

I was just wondering if anyone else found the same between north south divide

I personally like it medium / hot so the stoke one was perfect.

North Notts

The age old questions about the north south divide!

Does that make the discussion old spice?

Curries have names

The name constitutes the strength.

So did you have a korma or a madras or a dansak.

Its your choice have a mild one or a hot one ...

You can even specify upon ordering

Make it hot please guvna

Or may I have it mild please ....

North or south isn't going to make a difference to be honest .

And I've had them from lands end to Jon o groats in England and Ireland and India .

I do prefer chinese though ....

I love a chicken Bhuna and in one restaurant i go in, it makes my nose run and eyes water ( attractive I know) and in another one it barely causes a sharp intake of breath. Both taste nice so I don’t care though

You'll find the same differences between two premises on the same street, in fact you'd notice the difference when a different chef is on, possibly.

Pataks Tikka Masalla is a two chilli jar of curry sauce.

Just about every other brand is a two chilli on the scale.

You'll never find a Chicken Tikka Masalla in India but that dosent explain the difference in taste/spice, the UK is mad on the stuff. It's now The Uks number 1 take away replacing Fish and Chips.
