Anyone else think it was so sad to see that poor whale carrying it's dead baby ? . All due to humans polluting the sea with plastic . So what ideas do you all think can help with this global plastic crisis ??

What supermarkets could do is give old American style paper grocery bags if they really cared about the environment.

Whales are my favourite so it was extremely sad to see the mother carrying her calf. Even more emotive that humans beings caused it. Agree with the paper grocery bags, and maybe do away with plastic carriers altogether.

'Probably' to do with plastic Dave said.

How does he know it wasn't a natural death and not at all toxic.

It's fucking disgusting the plastic in the sea and the debris on beaches.

I knew a plastic thing was coming up on Blue Planet at some point but thought it was to do with the rubber ducks. Which didn't seem to be frowned upon.

I went Dolphin spotting a couple of years ago. One of the pod had the ring from a bottle cap perfectly fitted over the end of its nose/snout. It couldn’t eat and was growing weaker. The guys who organised the trip were planning on trying to free it but I never did find out.

It’s horrible.

Food packaging is at ridiculous levels currently. Everything seems to have a least three layers of unnecessary crap round it

I try to recycle as much plastic as possible at home.

But its everywhere you turn now and society is so throw away with things now.

I'm not sure but I thought I had read or heard that someone was working on designing a way of catching the plastic in the sea

Yes some guys invented an ingenious way of doing it but it shouldn't have to be invented !!

We watched it last night and it made me really emotional to see what we are doing to the oceans and the creatures living in it.

I also loved the Albatrosses ,in their late 30's and mating all their lives .

We need to start using biodegradable plastics, they exist and are perfectly harmless but it's inconvenient for humans because humans are just generally parasitic, cencerous pieces of shit as far as the health of the planet is concerned

Yes it does make you feel bitter and contemptuous towards these people who live for the day and not the future and the well being of the planet, as good human beings we can only do so much and thats what counts knowing you have contributed to the good of society and the planet in general.
