I really thought joining this site would take me down the rabbits hole to wonderland.. I've tried messaging, inviting to be a friend, "fabbing" pics.. 7 days...7 days and nothing.
I've realised they don't even read the messages (they might be handling 100's I understand) but it also made me think.. is it the face? or the race? or as I've just read on a thread "my height"
any insights my FS members? |

You've only been here a week, have one photo and your profile says literally nothing about you (I'll admit that mine also says very little about me, but I did manage to make it funny and fill a paragraph or two)..... |

Put as much effort into your profile text as you did your opening post on here and you might get further 
Your profile is your shop window... Would you be enticed in by basic, no effort window dressing?! |

I think your expectations were/are misplaced. What kind of wonderland were you expecting?
Men outnumber women here so a guy needs to make much more of an effort to stand out.
Going to organised socials and clubs can help.

It’s not easy. I’ve messages people. They looked at our profile. No reply. Move on. We have unread messages. I’m sorry to say. But we get bombarded with messages and sadly it’s hard to keep on top of them so now and then we go through them and try and catch up but it can be a while as we are not on every day. I’m sure it’s the same for others. |

The "wonderland" bit was just me being sarcastic.
I was under the impression, that one was invited to the socials and the parties after befriending?
I might have got it wrong, and yes! I do understand .. theres always a Man crowd in anything and everything.

Imagine you are on a bus that you haven't been on before.
You see several pretty ladies, you nod politely.
After a week of travelling on the bus, you have exchanged pleasantries but nothing more.
Would you expect them to say, "oh Hi! I have seen you on the bus this week, we are having a party, fancy coming?"
Getting on the forums is a good start, but you need to sell yourself.
As already stated, your profile is your shop window. Are you Harrods or are you Halfords?

You need to look on the meet requests and parties forum for socials or browse the meets section (meets and events button) and ask to be invited. You might get invited to socials etc after befriending but it's unlikely.
I don't know what area you're in but there are a few regular organised socials around the country, look out for them.
It also helps a bit to get yourself known in the forums (in a good way).

There is a regular manchester social event. The next one is very soon. It's full up I believe. They are very popular and I am sure there will be more to come. Keep an eye out. |
