Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Happy International Men's Day.

Look after your head, heart and bodies.

Check those balls when you next have a fiddle, stop being with people who make you miserable, spend time on your mind and find your peaceful place.

Please share your tips for being a tip top man in this often difficult world.

Men, whatever it can feel like on here at times, know that most of us love and even like men.

We all die but men do seem to manage this in ways that sadden the world.

I was counting up the people who had killed themselves in my life and then I added in alcohol, substances and those who just didn't go to the doctor when they had a persistent pain or cough. Men are in the majority.

Oh, now flapjacks I quite enjoy. Especially when they're nicely golden honeyed and dipped in chocolate ^_^

Sometimes being a bloke is tough.

I mean being a woman can be tough all the time, but when men have troubles we're not used to it and usually deal with them badly.

Men: Being a bit crap for 200,000 years and getting no better at it

It's true, being a man can be tough. The way we think about, relate to, talk about being a man is ingrained early. If you're not comfortable in that mould then you're accused of not being enough of a man. We all have to address this.

"stop being with people who make you miserable"

I would love to but there are so few opportunities for "professional" hermits these days.

Carve out time to be the hermit you want to be. Reducing toxicity is good for you.

I've been dealing with depression and anxiety for a few years now.

Only a few weeks ago I had the bottle to go and seek help, i was completely rock bottom and couldnt see a way out.

speaking with a therapist really helped me out, I still have really bad days, but I'm certainly feeling a lot better, but have a long way to go.

To guys out there in the same boat, don't bottle it up, go out and get the help you need.

The best thing about rock bottom is that you can only go up or sideways (unless you want to make things even harder for yourself). I'm glad you found a way to go up. Thank you for sharing.

for Christmas..........it's good to go along to one of the many Charities and shelters that help the less fortunate.........and when you see what some people have to go though and most of them are still quite upbeat.......it would probably make you think that maybe your problems are not as bad as you thought they were.........and by helping others it would make you feel good about yourself.....x
