After recent events I just thought I’d share my thoughts on the subject.
As a blood donor I believe it’s vital for us all to chip and give a pint of blood. It doesn’t hurt and doesn’t take long. An added bonus is that they give you a donor card with your blood type. All the while, somewhere in the country, you could be saving a life.
Recently, my father had an accident and needed blood, but none of use knew what his blood type was so never got his transfusion in time.
He was a good man who just wanted us to be happy, even in his dying breath in the back of the ambulance while the paramedics asked us what blood type he was, he just kept telling us to “be positive”. But being positive is hard without him |

On a more serious note....
There’s features on iPhones that you can fill medical data In on which is accessible without unlocking the phone.
Blood type, medications etc.
Also press the on/off button on top of an iPhone 5 times quickly and it dials 999, again no need unlock the phone |

I'm o negative and they're always trying to drain me.
They don't care that I faint every time cos I've got low blood pressure and it wipes me out and I can't drive for like 2 hours so have to sit in the truck drinking tea and eating biscuits. |

I would love to give blood but I was told I can't because of a blood disorder, my blood doesn't clot properly and bruising easily is a symptom.
It's a shame because I know how previous AB blood is  |
