"Parky is good northern English
We say it down here too in the South East."
Speak for yerself me ol China. . Parkey is what we'd shout as kids when the old geezer chased us across the park for playing in the flower beds..
"Cor blimey, its bleedin taters" is probable, but more likely is "fuck me sideways, it's fucking freezing"... |

My dad was from East London and he always said parky. That's where I got it from. I wonder if it was an army term. |

That was from The Cockney Rhyming Slang website. I used to think people were saying parquet, like the flooring that we had. I'm such a div at times. |

Unfortunately you don't hear people talking rhyming slang much anymore like you don't see pearly kings and Queens either..
And to think back then we thought they were bloody royalty..

"It can't be cold... there's still loads of people wearing shorts round here!
they're off duty postmen"
The guy next door designs water features
the guy over the road is teacher
I've just bumped into a mate in the shop, he's a plumber.
On the way home I saw the mechanic.
They are either all mad or, they're just made of sterner stuff. I prefer to tell myself it's option one!
I feel a tad overdressed...and that's the way it's going to stay. |
