It’s the best decade ever, the music the fashion, technology was coming out, and the seasons where very much different from each other, not like now where it just seems to be autumn all year round |

"90's were cool. I suppose most would choose our teenage years.
Who ever thought being an adult would be like this?? What were we thinking "
Saw a chalk board outside a pub once that said
"Don't grow up, it's a trap"

Some would say I wasn't thinking back then And taking a look at the way we were dressing and the 'curtains hairstyle '. Most of us weren't. . "
Just the mention of curtains makes me think of Leo DiCaprio circa 96 |

While I loved the 80s the 90s were my real era.
However the 80s/90s didn't have fab, tinder, pof, kik, camera phones, easy access to all manner of porn etc. etc. What a time to be alive

There and to the left a bit |
The 80s were the time when I went from teenager to adult, where my future life was formed and my musical tastes developed fully - when I learned how to drive, and found freedom through leaving home and much more besides - I look back on them with a mixture of happiness and sadness, regret and longing but also know they are gone and can't be bought back. |

My teenage years.
Frankie told us to Relax.
Ford Capri was the coolest car on the road
The local Bobby could still clip you round the ear.
I kissed my first boy, and girl.
Picketed in the minners strikes
Learnt I could drink like a fish
And Nuns terrified me, they still terrify me!
Apart from the Nuns, it was a bloody good decade.

The 80s were the best! I had an amazing time.
My first serious boyfriend had a yellow Ford Capri.
I fell in love with Rick Astley.
I discovered Pernot and that ‘never again’ feeling all in the same weekend.
I had a perm
The music was incredible.
It cost 7 1/2p to travel into Rotherham on the bus.
Times were so good and I would rewind and do it all again and I’m still in love with Rick Astley |

I was only 8 going in to the 90's but I love some of the 80's music. Genres like house, techno and electro emerging and a great era for post punk bands. There was a lot of shite too, don't get me wrong!
The 90s were good for music too but I'd love to have experienced the 60's and 70's as a rudie. |
