I have a cafitier but for tea no need for extra strainer when using leaf tea and just enough for 2 mugs of tea - simple |

Had a massive argument with my best friend about this years ago. She put milk first in my tea (again) and I said why do you always do that you know I like it strong and she said make it yourself then and she presses the hot teaspoon against my cheek, so I then tipped the contents of the cup over her clean dishes on the draining board, she called me a cunt, we sat in silence for a few moments. Was all very awkward. She just puts hot water in now and I do my own milk, just a gesture of milk I like, tiny bit! |

As the only one that drinks tea in this house, I always make it in the mug and items go into the cup in the following order - teabag, dash of milk, boiling water - leave to stand for 3 mins, squeeze bag against side of cup with teaspoon and drink  |

Back in the day people with inferior china cups put milk in first to cool the tea and not crack the cups. So this is how you could tell if people had proper china tea cups, if you're posh, it's milk in last!!
