Jupiter? It was visible to the naked eye last night. I heard it on the radio so I had a good look into the sky and, sure enough, there was Jupiter.Quite fascinating but a lot smaller than I imagined.

Jupiter is a long way away

Incredible that the sun's light goes all that way, reflects off the clouds, and comes all the way back to us

It's out in the sky often. I think they made a big deal of it because Venus is nearby at the moment. You gotta hate the winter , the best skies for thUK to look at, yet it's the coldest to stand out there, and you try fiddling with knobs with cold hands.

Put your knobs away and just look skywards

First time in six years that you can see both together and at a time of day /night that many of us can see them, in his viewing conditions

I did see them this morning, as I was driving through the sunrise hour.

Missed that.

I shall be keeping my eyes peeled for when your anus is doing the rounds though

Sorry! Some one had to say it though

Just my little attempt at a joke, about Jupiter looking so small. It did strike me that it looked so tiny but it's closer than the sun which prompted me to look up the sizes of our solar system. It probably doesn't come as much of a surprise but the sun is BIIIIIG,I mean REALLY big (but still, quite tiny compared to the biggest star we know of). There are some fascinating vids on YT, xhowing our place in the universe, made me feel quite small it did,and makes all of lifes problems seem very insignificant.
