My granny made the best scrambled egg. It took ages in a skillet pan. I think it was the way she whisked it or something. I've never had scrambled egg like it since and soup....she made it in a big pressure cooker and it had a golden skim round the pot. She also worked in silver service so her presentation was immaculate and always had the best of everything. Fuckin miss ma wee granny x |

My granny made the best Yorkshire pudding. She made huge ones in a roasting tin and she had a really old fashioned oven that was next to her coal fire. The Yorkshire puds would rise up high but seemed to cook evenly all the way through. Yum |

My ‘Nona’ was Italian and used to live in a little village on a mountain in Italy which was amazing to visit. Her pasta sauce and lasagne was legendary but everything she cooked was amazing very sorely missed ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

Milk jelly that she used to put on the back step to set. Someone used to put their finger in it to have a little taste and she always knew. Took me er I mean them years to figure out that if the jelly was nearly set it would leave a dent. ![](/icons/s/2/halo.gif) |

I can remember Sunday lunch at Gran's - bit of beef that had been in the oven since about Wednesday. I think it was the same oven that cooked The Last Supper.
Friend of mine once upset his Mum by saying her Mum was the better cook, his argument being his Gran had taught his Mum to cook so was doing the same stuff in the kitchen but with an extra 20 years experience.
I told him if my Mum was even worse than her Mum, I'd have starved myself to death 3 months after going onto solid food. |

My granny doesn't do cooking if possible... She's a microwave or toast kind of lady.
Though she did used to make good strawberry jam... She has a sweet tooth
Love my gran she's 92, rather eccentric and still lives in her own home.
