Hereabouts

It's November.

Turn off your telly and you'll not have to be sucked into all the seasonal shite

1st of November...with no other money-making holiday/ celebration in their way, the shops go full-pelt to Christmas.

I'd like 'Red Roses' by Jo Malone, please

I barely watch television but I do notice the cologne ads are always interested, with some actor or actress being a prat on them.

The Johnny Depp one makes me cringe, and the Chanel one with the girl from the vampire/werewolf films is badly miscast. Chanel is elegancy and femininity. She's boyish and gawky.

The REAL real sign that Christmas is coming is my house smelling of winter spices and me playing Oh Holy Night on YouTube.

,sadly its the greed of large companies like M&S and Argos and the power mad advertising companies trying to be top dog with the money these companies throw at them that the 'festive season' is becoming as long a calender season now

I will start looking forward to Christmas when I want to. It won't stop me donating to the poppy appeal.

I have my winter and Christmas themed background on my laptop already

Particularly as most poppy sellers seem to be rather elderly, and seated in the draughtiest areas.

I genuinely can't wait for the 26th when it's all over for another 9 months.
