Oh right ok explains alot. I look and think they must be hot. but disappointed by a few and wondered how they got there. As look through other profiles and and see stunning pics that should be on the list. But yeah each to their own |

I tend to go to the last page and work backwards, the 1000 plus likes seem to be a bit less interesting to me

Obviously some like them or they wouldn't be up there - although the fact that non-site supporters can't see beyond Page 1 (I think) does tend to mean that once they get up there they tend to stay and any other pics those users post also tend to get a lot as the users get hotlisted etc.
I do agree though that a lot of them I look at and think "what's hot about that?" - but others obviously think they are.  |

They must be popular as they’re up there. However, as above, some people put a massive amount of time into their campaigns for Fabs be it advertising with a status update, recycling old pics time and time again, accepting every friend request they get or playing the ‘Fab me I’m amazing’ games in the forums - or quite possibly all of the above.
I often see ‘effort in effort out’ for people querying their lack of success in meeting, so I suppose it would be churlish to criticise people for whom getting to the top is a near on full time job worthy of a Presidential election campaign. It is obviously really important to some people as their Oscar winning speech style “crikey thank you all soooo much for getting me on page one” statuses confirm.

Execatly this
A few years ago we had a mission on here , and loved our pics to be fabbed . We got to be number one a few times , and felt great about it . We didn’t mind our face pics being shown and did some amazing pics which always got into the thousands when we posted them .
Then we were alerted that our pics had found their way onto a porn site . We had the site remove them , and decided not to show our faces on our public pics ever again . This episode also led us to delete our account too .
We rejoined a few weeks later with a new agenda , and don’t care for fabs at all anymore . |

Quite happy lurking in the shadows on this one.
My most fabbed pic has 35 fabs. I appreciate every single one of them as I see it as a sign of mild appreciation rather than a measure of my popularity

Exactly this.... some people amass quite a following on here and if getting their pic on hot photos is something they enjoy, then why not! And whilst I won't be following suit, I just think good on them....

Some pics on there are deffo not what we look for. But everyones different. I dont want fabs for attention, but found it has gave me a body confidence boost seeing some people actually like the way i look (its not like they are after anything right... )
But other than that, couldnt care if pics get fabbed anymore  |

It all comes down to what is appealing really ... some pics are a big turn off for me and some are red hot
I fab pics I find hot whatever gender (gutting that so few guys make it on the Hot pics) because sometimes it’s a stunning pic
Yes there are times where I see a pic and cant understand the appeal but then many others do as it’s clearly well liked
I get on there a fair bit , I don’t ask for fabs but then the ones that do - fair crack ... if being on hot pics makes then feel good then good luck to them as maybe they don’t get that attention away from here and an ego boost is welcome

I don't really get the fab pictures either, it's a compliment to be on there but what someone else finds a turn off someone else will think it's a turn on. |

The "fab me" threads dont actually create that many fabs.
Basically some use fake accounts to fab themselves.
Some are popular people in chat or forums with lots of friends.
Some are hot to chat to and it makes their photos even hotter.
Some know the fab crowd and post something they will like.
Some people post their photo in an area with a huge amount of fab users so get a lot of likes that someone in an area with 10 people wont.
End of the day its a bit of fun, and for the most part everyone who gets to the first page is attractive. That's not to say people who dont make it are unattractive or not hot. It just means not as many people seen their pic. |

I made it onto page 1 the other day for the first time. I found it kinda odd because the photo that made it wasn't particularly (in my opinion) my sexiest by a long shot. I'm a little intrigued by what actually does make it on there and why. |

I think getting on top fabbed pages would only be a momentary ego boost whilst bringing a whole heap of extra traffic to my profile I don't actually want or need. So I am mostly glad I never get on there when I look at it from that perspective; and prefer to think that it makes me an acquired taste rather than merely unfabbable. |
