Rugby social would be awesome and if I could I’d take everyone to Japan. I think it will be the best one so far. 2015 was brilliant as a event not England’s play of course

Sounds like a good craic, there’s a central airport near our local stomping ground as well !!

Just sayin

2015 was brilliant. I went to the Ireland/France game. Second best game I’ve ever been to in my life.

RWC 2015 was great. I saw all 3 games at Exeter. All blacks in Cardiff. England up north but can't remember where and what I thought was the best game I saw was Australia v Scotland in the quarter final. Scotland was robbed.

As for local team I was at Twickenham back in May to see my team Exeter Chiefs beat Wasps to become prem champions.

I’ve never done one, and it’s high on my list, but I’m half toying with Oz in June for the Irish tour. My brother is over there and it would be the perfect opportunity to visit.

It's good to see Scotland won the game, gutted that I didn't get to catch the whole game as I was carrying out some house work. From what I saw though Scotland came out strong but Samoa where not far from catching up on points and I think when the game finished the Scotland manager did not seem too happy about that.

The welsh just lost a closely contested contest to the Australians, shame I wanted the welsh to win but their always changing players in their squad according to one off the Aussie players. So who knows maybe next time they get the win but they played well...I’m off to work in half an hour anyway so will miss majority off the England match.

i wonder if world rugby union will look and see what league have managed to do with their players "2nd tier nation" rule and see if they could implement it..... it has made the rubgy league world cup very competative.... watched the 2 qrt finals this morning and they were both fascinating games for different reasons...

if you put that in place in union... the pacific nations would be a hell of a watch as i think they have been ravaged by australia and new zealand stealing their best players

zebo's case is an interesting one as i didn't realise his dad is french and he speaks the language fluently... so is going for family reasons

i think the IRFU policy on now not considering people playing in france is going to be seen as hypocritical as they bent over backwards for johnny sexton when he went to play for racing!

here

Russel going to Racing92 and Johnny Gray to Bristol

Interestingly though Racing coach O’Gara is being released early and is off to Crusaders.

That’s a shame for Russel as I think he would would have benefited from coaching from O’Gara.

On a general note I am a little worried to see a pattern emerging where home grown Scots players are off to play club rugby outside of Scotland . I think some of the recent cohesiveness of Scotland’s game has come from a solid block of players working closely together for the whole season, and not just being brought together at training camp.

Predictions for international fixtures this weekend? Really hurts to say but I think Scotland will suffer an Aussie backlash and poor Wales will also see an improved All Blacks. Scotland 17-26 Australia. Wales 12-45 New Zealand. Ireland will probably record another record win and England will brush aside Samoa by 30.

"Gloucester to sign Fin Russell, he's already taken wee Greg's house. You heard it here first!

Wouldn't think Gloucester would count as a "once in a lifetime opportunity"

Take that back Being on the end of all that practice bombing must have distorted your judgement.

I would wonder why Russell would ever think of leaving glasgow for gloucester.... but i hear he is going to join simon zebo at Racing 92!!

that makes much more money sense.... lol

it then makes me wonder how many of the glasgow side are going to bolt for france....

I think Johnny gray ends up there as well....

can't blame them, who wouldn't want to live in France.

zebo's case is an interesting one as i didn't realise his dad is french and he speaks the language fluently... so is going for family reasons

Just catching up on all matches after quite a stressful week.

Think NZ will win and Wales will loose convincingly. but Scotland are playing very well but it’s going to be an up hill battle. Italy again playing well and keep mixing it up under coner. I think Argentina could win as I think Ireland will come out thinking it’s a walk over.

Excited to see Sam Simmonds in the 8 shirt for us tomorrow, he’s a real athletic backrower and should offer something completely different to our usual mutant ball carriers from the back of the scrum.

Plus he’s a real zero too hero guy, hard to believe he was on loan at Cornish pirates last season and now he’s pulling on the a starting shirt for England !!!

"i wonder if world rugby union will look and see what league have managed to do with their players "2nd tier nation" rule and see if they could implement it..... it has made the rubgy league world cup very competative.... watched the 2 qrt finals this morning and they were both fascinating games for different reasons...

if you put that in place in union... the pacific nations would be a hell of a watch as i think they have been ravaged by australia and new zealand stealing their best players"

I'd imagine that there'd be a huge shift in international rugby power, although in the last 5 or 6 years, a fair few names on the England team sheet have suggested that Twickenham is a suburb of Apia

as much as i love watching union.... the game of the weekend by a country mile was the league semi between england and tonga this morning ... if only for the 25,000 tongans who rolled into auckland... that was an experience and a half...

which kinda brings me back to the elligablity rules.... and i wish the pacific islanders now will condsider playing for fiji/samoa/tonga

i didn't realise but new zealand have made it almost impossible to do that because they have a blanket rule were you cannot play super rugby for a nz team if you you are not committed to play for the kiwi's... and bearing in mind they have 5 of the 15 sides pacific islanders can't really play elsewhere do to a shed load of restrictions...

australia and new zealand basically pick of the best of them....

Interesting win for Scotland.

We were more than holding our own before the red card.

What a series from a group of low cap holders. Going to be difficult selection choices come the 6N.

However, we frequently do quite well in the summer and autumn tests and then fail to perform in the 6N, so won't hold my breath.

Just finished catching up on yesterday’s games as I’m finally fit and playing again so missed them all.

Terrific performance from the Scots against what’s looked all autumn like a poor Australia, Fin Russel has to be close to being the best fly half worldwide.

England were clinical when it counted although rather unstructured, Simmonds at 8 looked good and Itoje’s performance again...just unbelievable.

Very thankful we have the Irish at twickenham for the 6N’s because the pace, precision and power they show every game lately puts them in the box seat for me. Hopefully home adv will see us home in March

Well after a weekend of snow and play last night and this morning I’ve just caught up on the weekends games....

Wow wow wow..... wish I could have been at the Scottish game fab fab fab ??

Welsh lost as I thought they would. Hard game but they just did not have the finish or overall power.

Good show as expected from England’s younger / more inexperienced team and Samoa did not disgrace themselves, hope they get to sort the financial matters and don’t become a semi pro nation once more

Need to find the Irish match online as bbc did not have it.

So how many more swinging acronyms can you get into a rugby forum post without meaning too...hahaha

Fiji/ Samoa / Tonga have always been outstanding at 7’s

We used to have a superb invitation 7’s weekend up here (Wirral) every May bank holiday but it dropped to a one-dayer about 10 years ago. In my teens & early 20’s though, I saw some incredible games at the Caldy 7’s & the Fiji & Samoans were absolutely a class apart!

Beer tent was always superb too

i am almost beginning to feel sorry for george north....

basically he is coming back to wales next season on a dual national contract which means the WRFU will pay 60% and the region will pay 40%...

all 4 welsh regions initally said they were interested... however scarlets have said they are no longer looking for a wing... and cardiff have said they are now looking at front row players...

which means that norths next destination will be the ospreys... or heaven forbid, the dragons!!!! lol

the thought of poor george having to play in newport almost made me cry... lol

"i am almost beginning to feel sorry for george north....

basically he is coming back to wales next season on a dual national contract which means the WRFU will pay 60% and the region will pay 40%...

all 4 welsh regions initally said they were interested... however scarlets have said they are no longer looking for a wing... and cardiff have said they are now looking at front row players...

which means that norths next destination will be the ospreys... or heaven forbid, the dragons!!!! lol

the thought of poor george having to play in newport almost made me cry... lol "

as if he's fit to grace the pitch that ken Jones once blessed with his presence.....

Falcons starting to show form under good coaching from Richards.

Had it not been for blood-gate, many say he would have been up for England coach.

Newcastle played a blinding 1st half. Left too much for Exe to do. We gave it a go but wasn't our best performance by a long way.

Could be a very tight game, a prayer maybe all that separates them !

Good luck boldy

Crucial weekend for wasps, anything but a bonus point win at harlequins will pretty much mean we’re out.

Quins are in great form lately and we were shite at home last week so...

We’ll probably do it
