Just wondering what others do after "cold" sent messages?
I delete mine if I see the recipient has done also and don't if they have read but haven't deleted. But, little unsure about unread messages, how long do you wait before you think it won't be read? I appreciate ladies that you receive hundreds of unsolicited messages but this mere mortal doesn't so you particular advice would be welcomed. |

Iceland, but Aldi is closer.. |
I'm not sure that if you delete your message it deletes it from the recipients in box.
I have on one occasion, had a response many weeks later from someone that had missed the message I sent and only found it while deleting their messages one by one.
Invariably though, if you don't get a response within a day, write it off as not happening, your message has probably fallen off the 50ish email limit of their inbox. |

There and to the left a bit |
There's a train of thought that suggests deleting it from your sent box immediately after sending saves those moments of angst going back to see if it's been read
I don't personally send unsolicited messages unless it's off the back of a forum thread so tend to just delete as and when, always just keeping the last sent one in a thread alive. |

Weirdly I feel offended if I’ve had a real good chat with someone and they’ve deleted every one of my messages.. why do some do that? With the new inbox message thingy, at least it compacts all messages into 1. Sent folder is still single messages though for now.. |

If my inbox gets full i will generally delete all but the last one for each person. None site supporters don't have the new inbox message thingy that you refer too. |

I sort of fell like that but just activated the "new" inbox thingy myself.
If I can sort of re-ask my question, if a sent message isn't read for several days should I delete? |
