Meh - they're just like any other 'Rom Com' no better or worse.
I don't understand why people hate them so much.
It's like Twilight- aimed at horny teenage girls and bored housewives.
I think theyre OK and I'll probably watch the new one, be entertained for an hour and a half and then forget all about it.

Couldn't finish the first book. I've read better amature stories.
Watched the films out of interest and the acting was dull and wooden.
No chemistry between them.

My mum bought me the books so I read them and I actually enjoyed some of the story. However, the films were very poor and the Mr Grey actor shattered my illusions of how I thought he would look ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I thought the first one was just a really 'nice' love story, the bondage scenes were cringey though. I didn't get past the first 20 mins of the second one though....that really was shit!! |

Why does everyone get so worked up about the BDSM element? It's only ever really in the first book then it turns onto some shitty room con where the brave heroine saves the handsome billionaire from his life of solitude and self loathing. |

So many 'it's shit' 'it's wank' 'what a load of old tripe'...etc.
BUT, for everyone saying that, it means you've seen the movie or read the books. Which means more money in the coffers of the book writer, and the film makers. They're laughing all the way to the bank. I seriously doubt they care ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Because it gives people a warped view of BDSM as being about abusive relationships and control. People in the BDSM community are not like that, and we take exception at being portrayed in a negative light. |

The best part is when he sheepishly confesses to having had 15 women in his dungeon....
I was waiting for the rest...
This morning. Before you arrived. At the same time.... something...
Nope the dude has a six pack, a garage full of Audis, his own helicopter and his own dungeon and the best he can do is 15??? You gotta get a Fab profile Mr Grey! |
