if you are using windows 7 right click on the toolbar and then select properties You get a box with three tabs under the taskbar tab there is a button called "customise" select that and you can see the volume setting, switch it back on.
If you are using an older version of windows, get windows seven lol
No If using an older version do the same but you should have a menu for toolbar icons, select that wahay, stereo porn |

This is a response to the complaint about noise from your house which was passed to us on 05/3/2011
Due to the fact that you ignored all correspondence and several visits from our environmental health officer, in accordance with the noise polution act 1999 sect 6, sub sect 2b, we have remotely removed your button and will not be returning it anytime soon so there ! ner ner na ner ner |

"I lost my volume icon after an update was done during the week, but there is a triangle where it was and i click it and its there "
Try
Right clicking on your taskbar - Properties - Notification Area - System Icons and make sure there's a tick next to "volume"
|

Hopefully, a simple restart, followed by the same step should see oit restored to being tickable... (fingers crossed) If not, there should be a way to do it, but it is a bit in depth, and I am rather tipsy at present.... |
