Talking to my son this morning about his pending 18th birthday party and I said at one point “gotta sort the disco out too” and his reply was “a what?” To which I had to think for a second before replying back with terminology that he understood “a DJ”, dya get the feeling that some words are just lost on the youth of today?

Yep .. I still say that I am going to the pictures when going to see a film .. my kids were flumoxed

I often confuse mine by asking if we "taped their tv programme" blank faces presumably wondering why one would put sticky tape over the television

We still say taped in our house, haven’t had a VCR for almost 10 years now

When Dad used to take me swimming he'd say 'Me and him for the baths please love' and point at me while talking to the lady behind the desk.

Few things wrong: don't be sexist, don't try and get me in as a junior when I'm 16, and for fuck sake don't call it 'the baths' it's a swimming pool.
