Bore da from a sunny Welsh Wales friends Forumites and Fabbers.
Oh what a beautiful morning oh what beautiful day  .
It's a glorious chilly morning here. Pooch and I will soon be heading up in on to Conwy mountain a beautiful walk.
Before we leave we have just refilled our many bird feeders. As I type a cheeky woodpecker is helping himself to the peanuts on the feeder.
It's important to feed wild birds at this time of year . They give us so much pleasure with their songs and colour so please repay their gifts by feeding the birds .
If you have a cat maybe think about a bell for their collar to give our native birds a fighting chance .

After my last thread about absentee birds, I'm pleased to say we've seen several kestrels, and had our long-tailed tits back 
But not at the same time 
We've also got several of those woven nesting boxes that the wrens adore |

I also have bird feeders in my garden.
Im afraid I can't identify the birds that come into my garden though, except for the cormorant that lands on my fence. |

Sadly any birds venturing into out garden take the risk of being stalked and eaten themselves by one of the psycho killer cats we own - and know you suggested collars with bells Taff but the devious buggers manage to take them off within minutes of putting them on!!
So much as we'd like to - our garden remains bird feeder free for the bird's sake!!  |

ha ha true I am a country boy so yep we get them too be hedgehogs foxes and the occasional badger |

This is one of the Grandkids from about 6 years ago when it all first started by accident.
Each year they take mealworms back to the nest and we count how many it's trying to hold so we know what's in the nest.
Then they bring the babies to us to show the babies where they get food from.
If this place did videos I could show off, it's so cool and easy aswell, just need patience.
You can train most animals using food.
If I haven't fed them they flap around my car till I get back out and feed them. Tiny birds with a big character |

I love that!! I have a window bird feeder and the birds tap on the window looking pissed off when I forget to fill it. 
I counted 13 little birds on it/ waiting on the windowsill at one time this summer.

Normally wild/feral birds but I love to see canadian and grey lag geese comeing over or close to the garden, wild pink footed geese will be about in abundance in the uk now till feb/march with a few other species to.. |
