It's still a person though. Depends on if they just want wank chat or if they send someone to a non-existent address I suppose. I don't think someone just wanting wank chat is a time waster and I wouldn't be an arse to them. |

Wanting wank chat is fine but leading someone to believe you’re someone completely different, ie a single male pretending to be a female, is a timewaster. |

I'm asking if you were to get a message from someone who you think is a timewaster would you want there time and string them along letting them think you don't know,I don't mean spend half the day messaging them just one or two messages,I did go on to say I had a message from a guy pretending to be a couple. |

I once had a 'woman' mail me on a different site and we chatted often. I realised very early on that it was a man but it didn't bother me at all. I liked the person a lot.
Unfortunately when I told him that I knew he was really a man he didn't mail me again.  |

I speak to a guy who says he wants to meet but has let me down a few times.
I like talking to him though. I think he's maybe just too scared to actually meet.
I go along with his suggestions to try again but I know it won't happen.
Am I leading him on? I don't think so. We get on really well and both get something out of our interaction. |

Because it happened to them... and they get some form of personal satisfaction and appeasement from it. It's human nature and we see this approach a lot across the forums on many issues not just for time wasters. |
