I'm ill. I really really want my Mum to look after me but she's almost 400 miles away and I don't think the taxi of Dad will pick me up this far.
What makes you revert to child like behaviour? |

When there are maltesers in the building, instant child, they are mine and they are not to be shared, on a more serious note when I’m ill mum and dad are twenty miles away and even though I’m 46 there’s my dinner ready when I get there |

"Occasionally I act like a growed up.
It’s not often though.
Sending a big hug and some lucozade, that’s what nana used to bring me "
What was that whole thing with lucozade? I can't drink it now as I only had it when I was poorly as a kid. Lucozade and a hot toddy, it'll be Jaeger bombs for this generation. |

It came wrapped in a giant quality street wrapper too!
I've been independent since the age of 12 or so. I guess if I wanted to be made to feel worthless then I'd call on my mum, but I'll pass on that. |

When i'm ill i just want to be left alone and be in bed. Drinks and soup are welcome, and i do appreciate folk checking in to make sure i'm still alive, but other than that, i like peace.
I usually need my mum the most when i need moral support. She's my best cheerleader. She's also very no nonsense so sometimes it's tough love she's dishing out and you end up wishing you never mentioned anything
Get well soon OP. |
