Just a quick post to say there is an xmas film on every afternoon on Channel 5. Do you think it's too early?

There are 12 days of Christmas, and not one of them is in November. If people want to celebrate the birth of a fictional baby, by showering each other in consumerism, that's upto them. Just don't do it any earlier than needed.

It's obviously not too early as the TV channels wouldn't broadcast them if nobody tuned in. However I will choose not to watch any till late November

I have been watching Christmas films for a few weeks now. I love a Christmas film (even the poor quality ones on Christmas 24!).

Once Halloween is out of the way then the countdown to Christmas begins for me.

Just notice Costa takeaway cups today with a snowman logo! Too early. The build up for me starts around early December.

It's a cold dark dreary (like some of the posters on here) time of year. If people want to be festive and look forward to Christmas it's fine by me. It adds a little sparkle

I don’t see it as wishing my life away. I enjoy every bit of it and make the most of it.

It’s only a gimmick if you allow it to be.

I love the build up. I like to do present buying early and December is all about making memories with family and friends and remembering those I’ve loved and lost. I want my children to grow up with the same love and enthusiasm for it.

You have to believe in the magic for the magic to happen
