most of us get these messages occasionally

"hey im moving to blah blah blah, fancy a chat and getting to know each other and maybe a meet" (not the exact message can i add)

out of curiosity i added a few to hot list and kept and eye out (research purposes and im a nosy bugger)

not moved or moved profiles in locations

does this trick work, or is it me who thinks just another chat up line?

I believe it’s just another chat up line tbh

Its up there there with the "I travel up your way with work"

No thanks on both counts!

Usually means Married playing away

I think it translates roughly to “hey, I’m passing by and looking for a quickie. You down?” Just reworded to make it sound like they’re making an investment not looking to capitalise on travelling for work. There or there abouts.

I’ve had a few of those - always thought they were bollocks but never thought of checking up on them, nice one!

I have had more than a few of these messages. Interesting to note that it is a common line used!

My profile just says north west which is a pretty big area yet I'm always getting messages saying 'I'm up your way'

That's nice

You must be showing up in their "Who's nearby" then

"I tell them to message me when they have moved."

Same here. Usually they want to "keep in touch and swap pics" until they supposedly move

I normally ask them to move by me. Doesn't seem to have worked yet!

I work away from home most of the time and often check out the inhabitants of the area where I am expecting to work (I do contracts that range from 3-18 months).

People can read too much into other people’s messages sometimes and jump to the wrong conclusions.

Hiding in the shadows

There seems to be a sudden influx of men, who are going to be working in my area for the next 3-4 months, and looking to meet, for purely social reasons.

Call me skeptical.....
