Just a bit of fun, let hear it you guys, where would you move to? Rules are as follows:

You must take into account that this move will be permanent, the only things that can bring you back to the UK are citizenship being revoked and terminally ill family.

I suggest taking into account different political systems and different cultural norms, not just the weather.

I'll go first.

I'd be pretty happy to permenantly relocate to Norway, Iceland, maybe Japan or Singapore. I'd say Spain, Portugal or Italy but right now their economies are too close to a balancing act.

Next?

Canada I understand, Oz and NZ put me off a bit due to lower standards of food production and import than we have here, which is a shame as they both look stunning

a quandary, could you change my mind?

I haven't seen enough of the world to make a choice so vast of possibilities, on my would like list it would have, clear blue sea, soft sand, warmer climate (with a good summer), some snow as the seasons are brill to behold, hills and mountains.

Connemara on the coast. Or maybe Arainn or Achill. A house looking out to the Atlantic. A big picture window. A nice library and music system. A fire. I'd be happy.

By the beach overlooking the Atlantic on a cliff top watching the sun rise the moon set and the storms roll by...

I just wish it was a bit warmer and a little more sunny..

Australia or Cornwall. Been to Oz once and I'd go back there in a heartbeat as long as it was a one way ticket! I'll have no qualms with daily driving a V8 Holden Commodore and taking random holidays to Japan like it's a trip to Spain!

"Pros and cons, work opportunities..."

Pro's- Amazing scenary, nice weather, not too cold in the winter(unless you are in the far south), they drive on the left. People are friendly.

Cons- not a lot to be honest, I wasnt that keen on the beer.

There is lots of work opportunities if you have a qualification, or work in agriculture. I work in civil construction and they are always after people.

Out of all the places I've been, its easily top of the list.
