Google reverse image!

Hi you fabulous lot!
I have a quick question and I realise I should probably know the answer!
When I reverse image a pic a lot come up as being on Pin interest. I've always assumed this to mean they are fake pics. Am I right or is it just that the guy in question has put their own pics on there too? (I have no idea how pin interest works)

I think you'd have to look to see who pinned it. If they did that's ok but if it's just been pinned by others it means the image is on other places on the web. Personally I'd just think fake and move on  |

Yes this, a load of gorgeous men get pinned all over Pinterest and these pics come up in Google searches.
Making them easy to steal to be used by fuglies to pretend to be hot  |

Depends you can download the image and do an image search with it, or you can get a plugin for browsers like firefox/chrome that you can right click and search the image on google, or tineye. |

I do this a lot. Only once got a hit which identified a “real” person. If the picture quality looks too good, or grainy, or an unlikely pose, they usually appear on reverse search. I also look at the model of phone. I once had a pic of a guy taking a selfie with a gameboy! Fake pics can be shared from one source to loads of others. I take the view if in doubt, leave them out. |

I messaged a guy that had a body builder I know personallys pics on profile even tho when he sends his face pic it's obvious it's not him (I recognised tattoos). When he was pulled up on it he sd ok uv got me so when r we meeting. Really???? X |

Someone reversed searched my pics and found my Instagram account and actually commented on a photo of mine!!
Surely a breach of any trust that’s on this site was broken?

any reverse image search is only a guide and thats how we use it it isnt in anyway definitive and certainly isnt foolproof as others have stated once you post any image anywhere on the it can copied and used anywhere else by anyone oh and the notice posted on a lot of profiles is as much use legaly as a chocolate fire guard |

I've done this with a few of ours and nothing came back for them not even our profile on here.. unsure if it would normally or not x |
