Have one in the taxi i drive, it has voice recording as well. My boss can listen to the fascinating conversations i have with dribbling pissheads....."sorry mate...i like a drink....and at the end of the day......at the end...of the day.....At the end of the dayyyy"

" yea, it's nitetime innit"

"Eeexxxxactly ....exactly...at the end of the day....it's night time"

Yes fascinating conversations indeed.

Been looking into it and best to google 'do i need a dash cam'

Legally it can't obscure your view of the road obviously or its footage isn't admisable and you can be prosecuted.

The police can confiscate any footage recorded and can be used against you.

Its a fiddle on fitting and removing incaze it gets nicked.

If using it for non private vehicle use, eg a taxi, you have to notify passengers its there as it records audio too.

Knowing my luck id lash money out for one and get done by the cops for evidence against me

I've got one. Was easy to fit & simple to put on & off the screen mount if it needs to be removed. Sits just behind the rear view mirror so no obstruction of the windscreen from driving position. Now it's fitted, hope I never need the footage

I read somewhere that having Iona can increase your insurance premiums, as it can increase the chance of aggression against you.

I've got one, haven't had a crash yet (touch wood) thankfully so haven't needed it for that. But I do get 10% off my car insurance for having it so it's useful for that at least

Definitely worth it, I got one after two no fault by me write offs in 5 months. I live in an area where crash for cash is on the rise so I'm more reassured I can provide evidence that I'm not at fault.

Good point. Ive been looking for discreet ones that other psrties won't see if there's an accident

I have thought about getting a go pro, but concerned about it compromising the helmet in a crash.

My insurance company don't have any policies on dash cams but they DID advise me to get mine.
