Bedworth

I tried to convince hubby to let me get a snake but he wouldn’t go for it. I’m currently working on him for a Pygmy hedgehog but I think that may fail too

The most exotic we have is 4 cats and 3 chickens

I had 2 spiney iguanas

They eventually ended up at Chester Zoo and eventually bred, the first ones to breed in Europe apparently..

I have always wanted a lionfish.. I used to be really into fishkeeping.

I've just got a mad standard poodle and a horse now.

Yes it was, was fun most of the time...my issues was the owners not the animals! The exotic mammals weren’t for general sale they are too specialised and yet not protected my licensing or law x

Wow that is surprising, I thought there would be stringent requirements to own them. I guess not.. I suppose if they aren't poisonous its less important. But how did they get to the UK. Are they UK bred or imported? X

Mostly uk need F3 (3rd generation) but of course imported originally. Sadly it is possible to buy a raccoon or meerkat without a license x

There's plenty of laws about venomous and dangerous animals, depends what the animal is as to whether it's covered or not
