It's a catch 22. You want to be named in a thread that asks who's hot or who's nice, but when you do, someone else thinks your a twat or your egotistical.

I get the feeling the forum always shoots itself in the foot when it tries to compliment people on here.

I'd love to mention loads of women I think are hot and I fancy, but I repeat, it dilutes my compliments if I do. And some, I know would prefer I didn't.

"It's a catch 22. You want to be named in a thread that asks who's hot or who's nice, but when you do, someone else thinks your a twat or your egotistical.

I get the feeling the forum always shoots itself in the foot when it tries to compliment people on here.

I'd love to mention loads of women I think are hot and I fancy, but I repeat, it dilutes my compliments if I do. And some, I know would prefer I didn't.

To many people are hung up on getting compliments and yeah it must be nice. Myself I'm more interested in just being the nice guy I am

Too many people eye roll, and try to bring people down a peg on here, (that's just my opinion and obviously means little except for me) so I appreciate anyone who tries to give opportunities for people to feel good about themselves. Would you not agree that that's a postitive thing?

In all honesty - this is what makes me a little uncomfortable at the new year ‘forum awards’ time!

The same people get nominated umpteen times and universally adored and the rest of us - though not exactly crying in our soup - still get a hint of a feeling that we’re not quite ‘up to scratch ‘ in the forum popularity stakes!

I’ve solved that problem in my case though - I’m on the forums far less often so I can just look on and smile as a bystander!

No they don't. The forum flavour of the month changes frequently - if you're not it you can moan/bitch/lament/pass-it-off-as-sarcasm about cliques and outsiders or you can just accept that it's really not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things...

I also think anyone is brave to read those threads, and I Make pretty sure my confidence with myself is upto scratch when I don't see my name, I know I was in there this time, but I've seen many go past without a mention of me, or no Mention of people I expected.
