Menston near Ilkley

I know this is a subject which I should know little about but after reading an article in last Sunday's MOS I thought I should share with the ladies of Fab.

A new pessary device is now available which reduces the risk of leaks whilst allowing women to manage the problem themselves, rather than surgery.

It's called the Uresta. Designed in a bell shape which, when inserted supports the bladder muscles and stops escapes. It is washable and reusable and can be used all day.

Designed by a Canadian urogynaecologist Scott Farrel it had been used by ten thousand women in Canada with excellent results.

It is available online from MediPlus and they have applied for it to be made available on the NHS.

I hope this information is useful ladies!

This may be useful for ladies who are going through the menopause, as it causes stress incontinence. XXX

"Regnancy can leave some suffering from it too!"

That should read pregnancy.

A good, strong pelvic floor helps too.
