I'm looking to upgrade my TV. Are 4k TV's worth buying?

Most tv’s will be 4K rated these days anyway. Take a look at Samsung or Hisense at that price band

by the seaside

If you can stretch to a bit more I can highly recommend Sony's Bravia 4k tv's. I picked up a 55" one for £750 at Argos a while ago when everywhere else were wanting £1200 for it. Great picture and definitely worth getting.

In my humble experience, TVs have almost become a "fashion" accessory like mobile phones, we all want the latest but are they really that much better than previous model?

Then there's my other point on TVs, have you got the same quality eyes and hearing for receiving what transmitted by it?

I think there is very little between the TV's these days most have all the same components inside them whether it's your local Supermarket own brand or a high end Bang Olfson, you pay a lot for the brand name.

If you just want s basic TV get a HD TV that suits the size you want and your budget it should last you years, although I think a smart TV for Internet is a good idea and not much more expensive either

"Save your money and buy a Sony "

exactly, nothing comes close to a Sony tv, every tv in my house is Sony. Sony android 4k tv i have in the bedroom. great tv.

quality wise, there is a some difference colour is brighter and more colours in the picture however if you had a good Sony tv upto it you wouldn't spot much difference other than brighter and colours are richer.

the inner parts of tvs are pretty much all the same only the screens are what are different Sony Samsung and LG are the main screen makes for high brands but they all use each others screens so never will know if the TV is a Sony Samsung or LG screen.

But Sony tvs are the best.

4k is a lot of money, I'd go with a cheaper one
