No doubt someone will twist the Sunday roast into a different meaning
But it's my first lazy Sunday for a while and looking forward to today's dinner -
Roast chicken for me with too many trimmings
What can I get everyone else? |

"Just booked mine in with my dad.... Roast lamb today. Hope he still does Yorkshires
Surely you have asked him to do his yorkshires "
It's like a game... He asks you if you want sinner there but you can't ask what they are having before you say yes or no lol sometimes he doesn't know until he is cooking it! I'm sure there will be Yorkshire puddings... We have them with most roasts |

Roast Pork cooked in a roasting tin with a can of Strongbow Dark Fruit poured in for it to slowly take up the flavours and keep the meat deliciously moist.
Plenty of crackling roasters, veg and lashings of gravy made using the juices from the roasting tin.

Slow-roasted beef, buttery mash, crispy roast potatoes and parsnips cooked in dripping, Yorkshires, and steamed veg. Oh and gravy- that's a seperate food group! |

"I used to love a Sunday roast but now I can't justify the effort for the reward and I'm honestly just as happy with beans on toast so the time spent cooking the roast can be spent better "
I get what your saying but bung it in the oven and walk away.
Get some nice bread roll/baguette and chuck the meat and juices in that.
I honestly think it's one of the easiest things to cook and if you want to go potatoes and veg it becomes something where timing matters that's all.
I'm not doing a x1 person roast for me but might do lamb and make a kebab or baguette out of it. |

Maybe we should set up a Sunday roast club! People taking it in turns to host (although I only have a tiny flat lol) |

Fair call but i find the whole routine very relaxing once all the prep is done it looks after itself and the leftovers go another dinner at least |

Understand what you're saying but no leftovers here.
My dog muttley gets those and I'm sure he'd vote roast dinner not beans on toast |
