Question for parents shall I be selfish for once I really want to go chams next weekend. Should I spoil myself and go or treat the kids for half term oldest being 19 and youngest 15 not been out in so long and could do with the break but can I afford it and can I justify it so close to Christmas keep changing my mind and don't know what to do x

Are the kids expecting to be taken away ? If not, and they’d be happy just pleasing themselves, then I say get yourself away. I don’t know you at all, but your question suggests you’d feel a lot happier if you went and did something for you for a change.

Enjoy, wherever you end up

Maybe ask the eldest to watch the youngest in return for a take-away so you can go to out?

Yes, be selfish.

I love our kids, but sometimes it's nice to just do something grown up that doesn't involve them.

And if your anything like us, you won't get the chance very often.

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

Fill the fridge full of beer & nibbles for them and their mates, then go out and enjoy yourself

Yes go. At their age they'd probably enjoy the house to themselves anyway. Just buy a smaller turkey at Christmas xx

The kids are old enough that they probably want to just do their own thing anyway, so I think you should go and be guilt free, unless your taking food off the table
