Picking just one is near enough impossible so many great ones I go back to listen to time and again...

...but if I had to pick just one album to listen to for the rest of my life it would be the extended version of The Liberty Of Norton Folgate by Madness

It's the album that finally saw the band I had loved for 30 years get the credit and acclaim they deserved.

Honourable mentions though to Steve McQueen (Prefab Sprout), The Specials first album, American Idiot (Green Day), I Just Can't Stop It (The Beat) and a few more

Not that I’m smarting still after going to Glasgow to see them and having the concert cancelled by the promoters 20 minuets before doors open and turning down tickets the weekend before for London because I was going to Glasgow!!

Human League - Dare, for the reason that everywhere you went at the time, you'd hear somebody playing it. Shops, sea front, houses and cars, it was an epic album that resonated with a lot of people. A great era in my life.

Years ago I saw heaven 17 in the departure lounge at Heathrow. I was heading back to Northern Island with the rest of my company after a few days leave. All having a beer or two we started singing Temptation...very badly. I give the band their due. They laughed their heads off at 80 squaddies making fools of themselves and gave a round of applause at our effort.
