Apparently according to some scientists there is an overwhelming amount of evidence our reality is a simulation.

Elon Musk said it was highly likely and there is a 1 billion to one probability we are NOT living in a simulation matrix scenario.

How would you know and how do you wake up from the Matrix?

Thoughts?

haven’t seen the film so Elon musk can go jump in one of his crap shuttles and fuck off to another dimension!

I think it'd be much more likely that we are part of another organism..much like the billions of bacteria that exist inside us..they live on a different plane of existence to us...as we probably do to another incomprehensible being.

it never came from the matrix, it comes from everything in the universe being a piece of information...amassing to a computer program or machine.

Quibits I believ they are called.

We already 'know' that the reality of the world as we percieve it is made up in our brain. Sight, touch, sound are all just electrical impulses that our brain translates.

Some flat earthers believe that the world is like a disc and life carries on above and below it without knowing which is top or bottom. If a ball rolled off the edge it would just move onto the other side without realising it had flipped.

Well I'd say he deserves slap in the face.....

The reality of watching children drown attempting to escape persecution should be sufficient to make him realise what a twatishly stupid theory he's created

He didn’t create the theory. It’s been developed by quantum physics scientists at the large hadron collider based on evidence from experiments.

Discussed in the last series of TIMC and quite an interesting theory!

unfortunately you mentioned 'waking up from the matrix'

it's this talk that spawned lots of idiots(flat earthers) to start suggesting there is a global conspiracy across(note I didnt say around lol)..they will often say things like 'wake up' or things like 'the biggest lie' etc etc..seriously watch the amount of deniers that there are satellites and the fact the sun is 'above' the earth..literally above it.

The powers that be are actually super high advanced that they may even be projecting the sky onto us etc etc...

There are a few hundred youtube experts ready to expose..the truth is out there

in all seriousness..we see it in nature, we get down to the atom, we find a world inside it...and so on...I fail to see why that just isnst the case for our universe..I like the frothy bubble theory that I made up..bubbles form and bubbles pop, some times they join up.

why the fuck they dont get on a plane or a hotair balloon at least is anyones guess..

in most cases its far too much and reliance on youtube videos/experts, xfiles, matrix, conspiracy theorists(I'd imagine even some of them get embarrassed by flatearthers/hollow earthers).I wonder if there is a unified theory of flatearth and hollowearth theorists...now that would be interesting lol

Interesting post. According to many scientists and their pesky maths the likelihood of us being a simulation is extremely high. To the point where it is mathematically probable that we exist in a simulation created by another simulation. Does this render the maths that they say proves the ball earth obsolete? That's one for another day

The physicist Dr Sylvester James Gates has gone so far as to find computer code embedded deep within the equations used to describe string theory.

For me the big thing is if we were to become aware that we exist in a simulation how would it affect our judgements? Would we continue to work 9-5? Would we continue to reject interactions with people who fall outside our criteria?

How would this knowledge affect you in your day to day if you knew it to be true that you are in fact just a sim?

Would it be possible for a simulation be aware that it was a simulation?

If we are in a simulation…why can't we simply re-invent ourselves?

The androids couldn't do that, I seem to remember.

Perhaps we are on a continuous loop of life & death where death is necessary to appreciate life.

What do we know? after all we don't even exist!?!

If we are in a simulation we have been programmed so wouldn't be able to re-imagine or re-invent ourselves. We would be a series of algorithms meant to react to the scenario we find ourselves in. If however we became self aware that this was the case would it change our actions?

It saddens me to discover that some of the greatest minds of our time would sully their intellects pondering such nonsense. At the end of the day reality is no more than an individual's perception, end of discussion. Surely the great minds of modern science would be put to better use in exploring something that was actually useful to us. It's just another tiresome theory, get back to me when it becomes a reality instead.

That's an interesting theory of not heard before.

I like the idea of a discworld, 8 coloured rainbows above the earth, on a disc held aloft by 4 elephants stood on the back of the giant star turtle "Great A'Tuin"

this might have been said 100 years ago by others..

of course...read this to see what happens almost a hundred years after these 'shit' theories come to fruition.
