i watched two films yesterday just for the sake of it..
'attack on the block'- supposedly a sean of the dead(its produced by and stars nick frost) with inner city youths vs aliens
and
'anuva bruther'- again inner city youths but supposedly a comedy
each was totally...................EMBARRASSING!!!- especially the 'social commentary' aspects(of course these films were made before the riots)
the only films ive only ever enjoyed from europe about inner city youth is La'haine and district13... and both of them are french! |

cool, well look out for the other films lol...personally I wouldnt have anything that derogitorizes(theres taking the piss and theres taking the piss!) myself in these films, particularly the anuver bruther film..quite crazy as they had some of our more well known actors n actresses from britain! |

.. you should have a look for NEDS, recently out on DVD, from the guy who made the 'Magdalen Sisters' - it's a very good drama, brilliant acting, ultimately well depressing. But if you want to see neds on film, there's not much better example.. when I saw it at the cinema I said it was like This is England, only Scottish |

"kidulthood is a good film
i will 2nd that watched it a few months ago brilliant"
if u liked that check out one called Kids. its set in america but still u get the message from it. |
