As the whole thing is currently still under discussion I thought I would run this again...but I will take a step back from posting on it and leave it to forumites to post their own experiences of this |

I have no personal experience of UC but this discussion has got me wondering.......
When they stop the other benefits and you are left with no money while they assess for UC, do they not back date UC for the weeks that you have been without benefit? |

And it took 8 weeks to get a payment and 23weeks to actually get her assessed into the right part of it.
Thankfully she wasn't desperately in need of it as I sort her food out etc x
The uc is causing major issues... I pity anyone forced to go on it. In many cases the average 4 person family is losing more than 200pm as the amounts are lower than the original benefits and if your doing part time work its a minefield |
