"No
I believe the emotions that (some) people feel about the deeds they have done will affect them.
"
I agree with this. I don't think karma exists in the sense of an externally ordered universe. But I do think people see how others act, and act towards them accordingly. |

Not in the sense that no bad deed goes unpunished because that is obviously not true. I do think that the crap things you do have a bad effect on your "self" and that is how karma or the rule of three or whatever you choose to call it works. It also works the other way. |

"I'd like to think it exists but unfortunately some people just come up smelling of roses no matter how much horse shit they fall in x "
Sometimes you think they are smelling of roses, you then hear years later they were really swimming in the shit. Just sometimes it takes many years for Karma to catch up, |

"Do you believe in it?
I have no wish to pry, but I can't help but wonder what prompted this post..."
A comment on another thread earlier.
I’ve noticed it being said quite a few times on here.
I’m just a bit surprised that people believe in karma but say they are atheists too.
How can you believe in one thing and not the other? Though I suppose that depends on what everyone classes as karma. |

I think you can believe in it and be an atheist. I believe there's a law of balance although it doesn't feel it sometimes. |

"Didn’t Albert Einstein once Say “for every action there is a reaction?” Or very something similar! "
I can understand that for physical or scientific stuff, but I don’t understand how some think for example if you cheat on your husband or wife that according to karma, you’ll be cheated on by someone else or something bad will happen to you.
Just sounds like those nasty chain letters that said something bad would happen if you didn’t post the letter on to ten more people. |

"The evidence of my own eyes tells me that bad things happen to good people. I simply can't believe in karma as it's commonly understood."
Exactly. I have a good friend who is one of the nicest people but she’s had some really shit stuff to deal with in her life but she does it all with a smile on her face.
Karma, whatever it is, really fucked up there |

I used to believe in karma, one of my fave sayings was - what goes around comes around.
Over the years though I've yet to see it in action, any proof it actually exists.
Bad happens to good people & vice versa. |

"Do you believe in it?"
Yes. I'm not a believer in God or some being judging us but I believe one way or another we reap what we sow generally.
Heard a guy once say your punished by your sins not for them and that stuck with me.
Shame it takes so long sometimes though |
