Are you good at cooking?

Jump to: Newest in thread

I've just eaten my dinner and while it looked nice it tasted a bit dodgy. It was black bean and roasted vegetable pasta dish. Somebits tasted overcooked others under so I'm definitely not top of the class for cooking! I don't particularly enjoy it either.

Are you good at cooking and do you enjoy it?

Marc is really good at cooking and he really enjoys it. I used to leave it all to him for the sake of our survival.

But since I quit my job a while back I've been putting real effort into cooking and I've found that when I concentrate I'm actually quite good at it. I enjoy it sometimes - it really depends on my mood.

When I put my mind to it I'm a pretty good cook, which us surprising as I get bored with recipes and just make half of it up as I go along. Not so good or keen on the dishes and kitchen cleaning afterwards....

I used to rush around the kitchen, not really paying attention to measurements and stuff while I did other things in between, like laundry and such. Now I devote a set amount of time to a meal and do some research into various ways of cooking something so I get a feel for how to do it more naturally.

I like cooking when I have time. I don't always follow recipes though. Mostly my food is good, rarely it doesn't go down so well.

Tonight was chicken in scratch made teriyaki sauce with Jasmine rice. I thought it was lovely.

You then adapt it to your own particular taste and over time it becomes your own recipe. That's how I do most of my cooking

Nothing better than some fresh ingredients, some cool tunes, and a couple of bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon to create some tasty nosh

If by cooking you mean taking it out of the box, piercing the film lid and putting it in the oven for the required amount of time then i'm a culinary genius.
