I have a client who has one of those new-fangled robot lawn mowers. It's quite ingenious, you just lay out the boundaries you want it go cut to with a wire buried in the ground, set the programme and leave it to it.
I'm not worried overmuch, it has severe limitations. No doubt there are aspects of my job that could be done by a machine but not enough to see me out of a job i'm sure. |

Personally i think my job's a bit too complicated for a machine to handle, but then, as was already mentioned, who knows what the future will bring. I could be just fooling myself. |

And we already have robot milking machines, i never would have thought that possible. |

"I fix the problems others create in my job, even a robot would want to give up and call it a day with the crap that’ll get thrown at it "
Same here - The programming a robot would have to have to replace me would be immense lol |

Unless your job requires some form of creative thought, you'll be replaced by machines in the nearish future.
That there appears to be no plan for the huge change this will bring about in society is quite scary. |

Mostly yes but doubt whether a robot could cope with the people I've got to interact with.....if fact, thinking about it, my job would be fantastic if I didn't have to deal with people, might tell my boss tomorrow. |

Thankfully no, or I'd be out if a job and bored to tears. A lot of my work involves communication - different types of people and different situations require different styles, and a lot of understanding and being able to think on your feet. Robots can't do that. |
