I’m new to this kind of thing and wondering if there is any advice on how to sound more confident to people I message. I message people but rarely get a reply and I have no idea if it’s me or them, any tips on what to put in first message. Any help is appreciated |

Read the person's profile and build your message around that mate it's hard for a single guy to get a reply as there's millions of us on here and women's inboxes are brimmed with us so make sure your message stands out hope this helps  |

Whilst confidence and writing messages that appeal to the people you are writing to are both important - it's quite often the fact that people will read your profile and look at your pics before even deciding whether to open your message - so you need to consider the whole package and make any adjustments necessary.
You've not asked for profile advice so I shan't offer any but would suggest it would pay to have a look at the hundreds of profile advice threads on the forums that all have great advice as to not only how to improve your profile but ways of coming across as appealing in messages etc.
I'll be very honest with you too, and not to dishearten you bit to be realistic - at 20, to a lot of people on here, you are very young, younger than their own kids, and that will go against you - so if you are messaging people you'd be better off looking around your age range (if you're not doing so already). |

Considering I never heard about this site until I was 34, how on earth are all these youngsters finding it, that is what baffles me.
When I was 20, I had 2 jobs, a mortgage and used to go out with my mates on a weekend, that how I used to me people of the opposite sex, what is happening with todays kids?  |
