What films have you recently seen and thought that wasn't bad, or that was bab?
For me alien covenant, was very predictable and a bit of a poor show.
You? |

What would you recommend about it?
It was very predictable and at first seemed like it was set before Prometheus and as the story progressed, claimed it was after Prometheus. |

'just back home from watching Blade Runner 2049. It's about 3 hours long and does not zip along. Some of the violence is unnecessary. On the plus side the Visuals are amazing and it does tie up some of the loose ends of the first film
All in all it's well worth a watch.
Don't bother paying extra for the 3D version though. |

There and to the left a bit |
Recommend: Hacksaw Ridge and Dunkirk - both brilliant and moving
Avoid: The Mummy - pile of poo
Watch when it's on TV: The Founder - interesting story about the beginnings and rise of McDonalds |

Blade Runner 2049 - Being a fan of the original I thought this would be an up to date reboot. How wrong I was. It is much too long and very, very bland. Yes, I did nod off a couple of times! Don't get me wrong, I knew the pace of it would be like the 1982 version but this was so slooowww. |

The Mummy - average
American Made - Loved it, best film that I've seen this year, fizzes along and was really interesting.
The Hitman's Bodyguard - really enjoyed it
Kingsman - The Golden Circle - worth a watch, very tongue in cheek.
That Transformers film - waste of time
Bladerunner 2049 - visually stunning, explores some good themes, tries to overcomplicate itself and is about half an hour too long. I found myself not exactly checking my watch but wanting to wind it on a bit. |
